Storyline

A psychological horror visual novel about fear, isolation—and the unraveling mind of a teenage boy. Fourteen-year-old Liam is spending the summer at Camp Redwood, a secluded retreat meant to help him heal. Diagnosed with schizophrenia, Liam is no stranger to hallucinations—but the masked killer stalking the camp feels different. More real. More violent. When one of the campers is found murdered, Liam becomes the only person who might know what’s really happening. But can he trust what he sees? Can you? An Altered State is a branching visual novel where your choices shape not just the story—but Liam’s sanity. As you guide him through paranoia, grief, and fear, your decisions earn Sanity Points that influence his perception of events, his relationships, and ultimately, his fate.
