Sonic Athletics is a game attraction in Sega's Tokyo Joypolis, released on 25 April 2013. The game was invented for fans of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise to build up on exercise. The players are to be set on a treadmill playing as one of the eight selected characters, on an arcade system screens where he/she runs their way to the finish line. A full-body-experience game, the player runs on a track, as the faster he/she runs, the faster their character moves. There are three events players can play: 100 meter dash, 110 meter dash, and a long jump event.
